These workshops are designed to increase comfort level and give practical tips on successfully using the Internet to research foundations, corporations and government funding opportunities. (When a site is available which provides a computer for each participant - or pairs of participants these classes will be provided hands-on. In some cases these types of venues are not available.)

In just one day we can take you from the basics to beyond on the Internet. This completely non-technical workshop shows you how to search and find just the info you and your organization need, without wasted "surfing time." Focusing only on the best of the net, this also covers the reality of today's "hot topic" - raising money on the Internet. In depth explorations show how best to do research on finding funding from individuals, corporations, foundations and government sources. Though designed at a basic level, even experienced Internet users can gain valuable information. Accompanied by a disc with hundreds of Internet sites.

~A Non-technical Look at Online Fundraising~

A subset of the talk above, this half-day focuses exclusively on Internet resources for funding your organization. The current state of online fundraising is examined and much time is spent on effective research techniques for individual, corporate, foundation and government funders.

~Building a Better Web site~

It's true - everyone has a great website...except for your organization! In just a day you can join in this exploration of the web from both educational and psychological perspectives, learning how to fine-tune your web effort. Attending organizations can submit their websites for constructive critique by instructor(s) and workshop participants.
